Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone! I read something this week that really resonated and wanted to share.
The idea was: instead of focusing solely on recreating physical aspects of the events we're used to, let's focus on creating the emotion we're used to feeling from those events.
So let's not just have a virtual event for the sake of having an event, rather, let's work backwards. Think about what emotion you or your guests experience (or would have experienced) at a live in-person event that we could make sure you feel through whatever virtual or "new" event format we come up with.
The feelings of togetherness, celebration, kindness, giving, love, excitement, pride, happiness...these are still possible and so necessary. It's just a matter of how we create environments (while apart) to evoke those emotions.
It could be a more intimate wedding or it could be a virtual gala. But before we dive into the technical logistics, let's really think about how we want you and your guests to walk away feeling.
That changes the conversation. And changes our perspective.
So, while you're likely not out celebrating memorial day weekend as you normally would, I hope you're able to still enjoy at least one thing this weekend that sparks a familiar emotion or maybe even a new one.
Sending lots of love,
Daniela ❤️
